Maddie Belford

I’m a graphic designer currently based in Waterloo, Ontario. As a current fourth-year bachelor of design student, I enjoy flexing my creativity through work focused on marketing, motion graphics and packaging designs. My favourite aspect of design is balancing elements of both form and function within my work.

Simplee Toothpaste

Packaging

The main goal with Simplee Toothpaste was to create a toothpaste brand that breaks the mint-flavoured industry mold. Inspired by beauty product packaging, Simplee is a low ingredient toothpaste that uses bold colours and shapes to stand out against other toothpaste brands that lean more clean and frigid.

Clean and Neat

Branding

Clean and Neat is an art exhibit conceptualized to showcase the work of Georges Huel and Marc Lauriault. Taking inspiration from both designer’s bodies of work, the created design is vibrant, bright and exciting. The logo and created pattern flow seamlessly and allow for an immersive and dynamic viewing experience.

Guerilla Gardening

Awareness Campaign

Guerilla Gardening is a movement dedicated to transforming unused spaces into green ones that can be used for community enrichment. The created marketing materials use both online and physical creations to help spread awareness about the movement while also inviting the audience to get involved.

Canadian Tulip Festival

Branding

The Canadian Tulip Festival is a celebration dedicated to celebrating the long-lasting friendship between Canada and the Netherlands. A branding redesign was completed to simplify the logo and help the overall branding become both more cohesive and more appealing to a wider audience.

We are deeply thankful we don’t have to ‘write’ a novel to say what we want – graphics are enough.
